Attached file about:sync-log
[Affected versions]:
- Firefox 47.0.1
- Firefox 48 beta 10
- latest Aurora 49.0a1
- latest Nightly 50.0a1

[Affected platforms]:
- Windows 10 64-bit
- Mac OS X 10.11.1
- Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64-bit

[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Launch Firefox with a clean profile.
2. In the Create a FxA wizard via the Firstrun page, add the credentials of an already created account (_only_ e-mail and password).
3. Click on 'Create account' button.

[Expected result]:
- User is notified that the account is already taken.

[Actual result]:
- User is automatically logged in.
- 'You must enter your age to sign up' notification is not displayed.

[Regression range]:
- Also reproducible with Firefox 45.0.2; will investigate further.

[Additional notes]:
- Screen recording: https://goo.gl/6Hwzx2
This behavior is on purpose, adding our UX guru :rfeeley for comment
It's worth noting that the user is only signed in IFF the passwords match. IF the passwords do not match it'll say "Account already exists. Sign in" where "Sign in" is a link to the sign in page.
Surely this is a feature rather than a bug?
