128879 - Intermittent total loss of prefs

At times, all preferences are cleared when mozilla restarts. Home page, form
warnings, email prefs, all get cleared. Apparently, this leads to clearing all
local copies of email, but I believe that this is just a side effect? Bookmarks
and history are unaffected.

My father has seen this multiple times, I've seen it once on his computer.
Cannot currently reproduce it, I'm working on that.

Now, as I've been screwing around with the prefs.js in 
c:\documents and settings\user\application data\mozilla\profiles\default\0wmdygq.slt
and I've seen the problem again but I still can't reproduce it reliably.

This is a SERIOUS bug, though. I'm giving up for now but I'll do my best to help
you reproduce it if you have any suggestions.
