We should disable the submission button in this case instead. Note that a similar thing happens with whitespace-only entries. Safari disables the Go button in both of these cases.

The API for this appears to be private, so we may not be able to do this exactly yet. Instead, the Go button could simply have no action for a whitespace-only query.
