We're decommissioning git.mo; all relevant blockers have been addressed. It's time to shut down the server, but leave it in a state that we can easily turn it back on if unexpected problems occur. After a month or so, we can tear down the servers.
What "hard hat" or redirection or ??? should be left? When we decom'd cvs & bzr, we installed a redirect somewhere.
Do you mean for the web UI, https://git.mozilla.org/ ?
I've created https://wiki.mozilla.org/EngineeringProductivity/git.mozilla.org; I'll file a separate WebOps bug for the redirect.
The redirect is live; kendall, can you shut down git on the server but leave it in such a state that we can easily turn it back on if needed sometime in the next month?
Request to power off git1.dmz.scl3 and decomm the rest filed. Zeus VSes have been stopped.
