User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0 Build ID: 20160623154057 Steps to reproduce: Enter a new url or terms I want to search for at google, or click a link within an email, etc. Simply speaking: I want to load a website. Actual results: The website does not get loaded. Other websites do not get loaded as well. I try to load the site of my local router and also, the loading is indicated to be started, but no data ever gets loaded. Every time this happens, system.log shows something like the following: Jul 30 11:19:17 WindowServer[203]: Surface testing disallowed updates for 10 sequential attempts... Jul 30 11:19:17 WindowServer[203]: Surface test allowed updates after 14 attempts (56 ms) Jul 30 11:19:17 WindowServer[203]: Surface testing disallowed updates for 10 sequential attempts... Jul 30 11:19:17 WindowServer[203]: Surface test allowed updates after 10 attempts (40 ms) A restart of firefox always helps instantly. The log messages dissapear and all previously requested sites get loaded. Two remarks: 1) it seems to have started with the current 47 branch. 2) I am experiencing the same behaviour on another MacBook as well. Same version of firefox, same problem. Expected results: The requested website should get loaded and displayed
Hi Oliver, I cannot reproduce this issue. Can you send more specific information or links? I found similar Mac OS related issues - Are you using Flash Player? If so please also check System Preferences>Flash Player>Advanced tab>Delete All Site Data and Settings. Deleting all Flashplayer data did not change anything. Deactivating Flash player completely also did not help. I noticed that it is very closely related to the current window. Meaning: I have a tab open and try to load a website. It doesn't load. I can reload as often as I want, but nothing gets loaded. I then open a new Firefox window and simply drag the tab of the not-loading website from the "not-functional" window to the new window and volia - the website opens without any problem. I wouldn't know what links I could send you, since it is not related to any specific websites. When it happens, all websites will not load. Google, eBay, you name it.

I cannot reproduce this, either. Going to mark this as resolved/incomplete since the steps to reproduce are vague. Please feel free to reopen it with more info.
