User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0 Build ID: 20160811030201 I have tested your issue on Ubuntu 14.04 with latest Firefox release (v48.0), Firefox latest Beta (v49.0b3, Build ID: 20160811031722) and latest Nightly (Build ID: 20160811030201) and could not reproduce it. Added multiple bookmarks to the new profile, no errors encountered in the web console. Is this still reproducible on your end ? If yes, can you please retest this using latest FF release and latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results ? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/PNe90E).

I think the browser not responding is because another bug when ngnix timeout is lower than necessary to sync my large data from sync. But this error and other have a interesting detail: All network related error in background affect foreground site navigation. And I think this is the cause of frequent instabilities. Is possible isolate the background operations to solve the problem while other bugs stay open. Thanks!

Looking through other issues I have found bug 1294595, so I see no reason in setting that value under the default. Do you think that these 2 issues can be related?

I think split bookmarks before sync solve the problem, but I opened another bug for this.
