In all other browsers, and in nightly until a few days ago, pressing Tab would cycle through the suggestions in the list. Now, I understand the one click search functionality, and I can see how many would use it. However, I don't, and have disabled all search providers, effectively making the Awesomebar look like it did last month (see attachment plainAwesomebar.png).
However, the keyboard behavior is not the same. Even though pressing Tab in major browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox GA) cycles through suggestions, it does not in the latest nightlies. Even though nothing is visible, pressing tab actually moves to a hidden Search Options button. Pressing Tab once, then Enter, opens up 'about:preferences#search'.
If no one click search providers are displayed, please allow Tab to cycle through search results. This is a big usability miss for me. I know that the arrow keys work, but those aren't immediately under my hands. They're also not hard-wired in my brain after many years of using Firefox with the old behavior.
