Steps to reproduce:

Start typing some URL in the URL field


Actual results:

Below the URL/address field it appears a list of hints/suggestions. The font & size there are noticeably bigger than in the address field. 


Expected results:

The suggestions should have the same font or smaller than the one in the URL field.

..as the hints are subitems (one of the suggestions) and also they are very long so the small font size makes sense.

I agree, these fonts should be smaller. Stephen, what do you think? Who is responsible for the UI spec of this feature?

The title in the awesome bar results should have a larger font-size than before. We have another bug (bug 1262611) to make the awesome bar text field match that.

The text in the screenshot does look larger than expected though. Might be something specific to the Classic theme? I will have to investigate.

Since there is some activity still about that poor address bar, I would like to mention the following. Did anybody ever worked with FF over the remote desktop (Windows) and not very fast connection? In my case, when the address bar opens down, around it I see a bigger black area (rectangle) and the whole redrawing can be extremely slow as I type the new address. Sometimes next letter appears after few seconds after I typed it.

I believe that redrawing of the address bar while typing is so not optimal that remote connection simply hangs for few seconds.

Does anyone see this?

The design changed a lot so this doesn't apply directly, and the assumptions in comment 0 are not strictly true, we want the fonts to differ indeed.

The bug reported 4 YEARS ago, was "resolved" 2 hours ago by means of rewriting everything ones (or twice) again so that this all became irrelevant!

Did anybody here realized that if you only write new buggy features instead of fixing the existing bugs, your software will be only more and more buggy with time and irrelevant for the user? I, personally, wait max. two months for bugs to be fixed. If the reported bug is not fixed within two month, the company (bank, browser, etc) is blacklisted and I start using the product of competitors. Because this is NOT SERIOUS. And 4 years is simply laughable! ;-))))
