Steps to reproduce:
https://jsfiddle.net/6grvh2xh/
1/ First select the text "Select me first" by dragging the cursor.
2/ Click on the "Click me, text stays selected"
3/ Click on the "Click me, text is cleared"
Actual results:
In step 2, clicking on the "Click me, text stays selected" does not clear the selected text.
Expected results:
In step 2, clicking on the "Click me, text stays selected" I would expect the selected text to be cleared. So that the behaviour is the same as with other browsers.

Not really part of bug 12460. On Blink, you cannot select text on generated content either, but clicking them could still clear the existing selection.
