Mozilla uses CollectorApp and BreakpadCollector and not the 2015 counterparts. The counterparts differ in a couple of ways one of which being where configuration is defined. Regardless, we have a lot of test infrastructure that uses the 2015 counterparts and tests those to make sure they work. Also, when I was making changes to the collector, I hit problems with the Collector2015App which I had to spend a couple of hours to fix. I think given that we're not using them, they're taking up test cycles which adds up over time and they're additional maintenance burden, we should remove or integrate them so we're back to a single set of CollectorApp and BreakpadCollector.
couldn't agree more! If we're not using it, we shouldn't be testing it.
I thought I had written up a bug for this work, but I couldn't find it. I removed all these classes in bug #1363130. Marking this as FIXED.
