STR:

- open the eyedropper from the devtools menu in the browser menubar
- open the inspector (ctrl+shift+I)

==> The eyedropper icon in the inspector toolbar isn't checked.

If you click on the icon in the toolbar, the icon does become checked then.
This is a minor regression in the new implementation of the eyedropper, introduced in bug 1262439.
Not sure this is worth uplifting.
Are you sure this is a recent regression?
I could reproduce the issue also on Firefox 31 when Eyedropper was introduced. I tested on Windows 10.
