Details

I've just switched to Visual Studio Code because afaik it is the only IDE that supports the Firefox Remote Debugging Protocol via an Extensions (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=hbenl.vscode-firefox-debug | https://github.com/hbenl/vscode-firefox-debug). There is not much ecosystem among IDEs/editors that support Firefox' protocol. That's very unfortunately because software (websites, add-ons etc) is not developed in a browser but in a (customized) IDE/editor. But I guess one must start somewhere. I would propose a small Page on MDN under https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools at bottom below "Extending the devtools". This Page (maybe "Third party tools using the Remote Debugging Protocol") should "showcase" third party tools, even it is just one at them moment (which not many know about, but this could change then). In a similar sense like there is https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/docs/debugging-clients Since its just one (usable) client at the moment, maybe a simple link to it with brief description would also do. See also https://github.com/hbenl/vscode-firefox-debug/issues/3 I could update the page or create a sub-article, but would be interested in your opinion beforehand (hence I filed under Devtools Framework). CC Florian Scholz and wbamberg (because MDN) and paulrouget (because of https://www.reddit.com/r/web_design/comments/1adibx/firefox_css_live_edit_in_sublimetext_work_in/)
