So, I'm experiencing graphics drawing artifacts throughout firefox.
My computer had shut down overnight, on start today it updated to Aug 31'st version (a staged update) -- Prior update was less than a week old without this issue.
I initially saw weird artifacts with the painting of tabs, as I opened new tabs. And then I shortly-later saw similarly weird artifacts on facebook.
Scrolling down works fine for ~half a second, then tears most away, scrolling up after that yeilds bad artifacts...
I then checked for a new update and restarted...
After this update, within seconds I also got, possibly unrelated: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/9d49b88b-1cfe-4926-ad88-42cdd2160902 when I was checking if it still existed on facebook.
A new startup after that gave me the same issue with facebook, which I am attaching a screenshot now.
I'm on an "X1 Carbon - Generation 3" laptop, with Ubuntu 15.10 installed.

Further information, moving my mouse around the content area, it seems like things that react to :hover (like links, and clickable images, especially ones that change slightly on hover) get redrawn in the spot they are supposed to be, while not changing anything else.
So perhaps this is something to do with invalidation of regions?
