if I fx reply to the news spam message in the news.mozilla.org with subject "NEW Pot Substitute! Katmandu!" bringing up the compose window is fast, but setting all the newsgroups are slow. It takes almost 3 sec after the compose window comes up to the user is able to enter any text. 20020309

I tried the test case on a Win2K 700Mhz/256MB PC with Netscape 7.0 PR1 and it took less than 2 secs to open the reply window with all the newgroups recipients. How slow is it for you?

around 3 secs. Still think that's slow...:)

sorry for the spam. making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs. filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.
