Steps to reproduce:

I have installed Firefox 48.0.1, enabled 'always use private mode' and the start behavior of Firefox is 'Show a blank page'. Extensions installed: uBlock Origin, 1password.


Actual results:

When starting Firefox and the blank startpage appears, I notice that whenever I try to type text in the URL bar, it generates a big lag. Only after a second or 4, the text is populated, often truncated (not the complete text I typed). As soon as Firefox is open, open a new tab and start to search there, the behavior is gone.


Expected results:

Other browsers I have tested like Chrome or Safari don't show this behavior.

Sure, I have enabled Health Report and Telemetry options and verified their existence through about:telemetry. Any idea how I could export the results to upload them here?

Unfortunately the probe I was suggesting doesn't exist atm, I was suggesting that WE should add it.

Ok, no problem! I've searched for similar topics others are reporting, but they are at some point not identical to what I am facing (others have issues with favorites and history items appearing from the search bar). I am happy to share whatever logs are required however to support the team in troubleshooting.

Does this bug still reproduce in 49 and in particular when restarting the browser with add-ons disabled (Help -> Restart with add-ons disabled)?
