Once we've verified the data coming from the new telemetry infra looks good, and that the downstream consumers can read the data, we should shut down the current infra and move processing exclusively to the new infra. This involves merging https://github.com/mozilla-services/svcops/compare/new_telemetry?expand=1 and https://github.com/mozilla-services/puppet-config/compare/new_telemetry?expand=1, and then reconfiguring the tee to stop pointing at the old infra.
I performed the final prefix migration cutover on 2017-02-08. There were issues discovered after the cut-over (bug #1335219, bug #1339834, bug #1339421), but they are largely resolved and it doesn't look like we will need to cut back to the old stack. Marking this as done, and I'll file a bug for handling the remaining cleanup tasks for next sprint.
