Okay, you wanted nits, you got 'em:

The left hand side of this example (the image) renders the radicals so as to
keep the vertical spacing between bars uniform.  The MathML version is not
uniform in this vertical spacing.  Also, the right-side ends of these bars do
not line up.  I noticed this, but needed to magnify to confirm.
TeX seems to try to keep the vertical spacing uniform, while Mozilla is trying
to keep the bottom of the radical glyphs uniform. See, e.g., attachment 90346 [details] from
bug 121493. Which way do you prefer?

The patch only concentrate on the vertical stacking. Getting neat horizontal
widths for the rule of the radical also depend on how well frames align on
pixel boundaries -- it is too complex/unreliable to have a fix for that part,
and so will remain as such.
