Created attachment 8791606 [details] arabic bug.png [Affected versions]: FF Nightly 51.0a1 arabic build [Affected platforms]: Tested on Mac OS X 10.10, Windows 10 x64 [Steps to reproduce]: 1. Download Nighlty 51.0a1 http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/2016/09/2016-09-14-03-02-00-mozilla-central-l10n/ (this is the arabic build) 2. Open the Download Panel 3. Click on the dropmarker [Expected result]: "Open Downloads Folder" has the same dimensions like the Download Panel. [Actual result]: "Open Downloads Folder" case is bigger than Download Panel. I attached a printscreen. Note: On Windows this issue it is not as serious as on Mac, but the "Open Downloads Folder" is not centered with the Download Panel.
I also tested with english build and the "Open Downloads Folder" doesn't have the same dimensions like the Download Panel. On Mac the "Open Downloads Folder" case is bigger in the left side and on Windows the same case is smaller (significant) than the Download Panel.
Hi Carol, Even there is a translation issue in attachment 8791606 [details], could you give your thoughts if a longer menu item is an issue from Visual/UX perspective? Thank you.
BTW, please see the details of the translation issue in bug 1303007 comment 2.
The menu item will only appears when the user click on the drop-down marker. It's ok if the menu is longer or shorter than the download panel. The menu behavior will follow the system's behavior. Thanks!
Based on comment 4, this issue can be closed.
