Yahoo Mail recently added a feature to "deny access by apps using older security sign in". With this setting turned on, Thunderbird is blocked from logging on to my Yahoo account. The Yahoo help page https://uk.help.yahoo.com/kb/account/SLN27791.html is a bit short on technical details, so it's not clear to me whether this can be solved in Account Settings or we need to add support for the protocol they use.
What a useless article. Of course they do not say what the "new" security sign in is.
I believe we have another bug report that mentions Yahoo mail is going to require OAuth support. Yep, bug 1293958. I think we can just DUP this to that one.
