Description:
  When the browser loads some Simplified Chinese pages, some characters are not
displayed, instead, they are spaces there. However when I selected the spaces
with mouse, the correct characters are displayed.
  Sample link: http://www.zaobao.com.sg/gj/zg008_130302.html

Affected browser:
  Mozilla 0.99 default build for Linux (tar.gz file)

Not affected:
  Mozilla 0.98 default build for Linux (tar.gz file)

System:
  Slackware Linux current
  kernel 2.4.18 with NLS support
  glibc 2.2.5 with i18n support
  X Window 4.2.0
  AfterStep 1.8.11
  glib 1.2.10
  gtk 1.2.10

Localization setting:
  X Window font setting:
     isas-song ti-gb2312-1980-0

  I set some environment variables in C shell:
     LC_ALL = zh_CN
     LC_CTYPE = zh_CN.GB2312
  However, glib, gtk and X Window setting is still "C"
