This bug is a follow up for unifying the structure/style of the searchinput. While bug 1296187 applied a workaround the added additional class to make the styling works for both html/xul cases. We should remove the workaround after xul replacement finished.
Should this be part of the devtools.html project? If not, why is this a P1?
