This is the #9 topcrash in Nightly 20160930030315, with 28 occurrences. It started iin September 29's Nightly build and across all Nightly builds since then it's occurred 118 times across 49 installations.
The full message in the signature is "(msgtype=0xB00005,name=PNecko::Msg_PHttpChannelConstructor) Value error: message was deserialized, but contained an illegal value".
The stacks in the crashing thread appear to be unrelated to the problem.

It definitely looks like something relating to Skia and D2D1.1. lsalzman, any ideas?

Whiteboard: [gfx-noted]
The crash in comment 0 is with D2D acceleration, and the correlation is with unaccelerated (Skia kicks in when there is no acceleration), so I'm convinced this has anything to do with it.

This does not appear to be related to Skia, as the user here, as noted by Milan, was using D2D, and we don't have anything showing up in the patch history modifying Skia related things at the tail-end of September.
