Originally, the recommendation for selectors was to have a separate file for them. Since then, Dan has revised his thinking as part of "idiomatic" Redux. The current best practice is to [colocate selectors](https://egghead.io/lessons/javascript-redux-colocating-selectors-with-reducers?course=building-react-applications-with-idiomatic-redux) with reducers.
