We're changing the design of Focus to be a privacy-centric browser with built-in content blocking. We'll still support the ability to add the Focus blocklist to Safari, but that's now a secondary feature.
Since WKWebView doesn't support content blocking APIs, we're using UIWebView, which allows us to create an NSURLProtocol to intercept individual resources.
