What problem would this feature solve? ====================================== Since Persona is end of live can we look at the following for logging in Who has this problem? ===================== All visitors to MDN How do you know that the users identified above have this problem? ================================================================== as its end of life Nov I believe How are the users identified above solving this problem now? ============================================================ n/a Do you have any suggestions for solving the problem? Please explain in detail. ============================================================================== Yes we look at the following for Mozilla https://auth0.com/pricing Is there anything else we should know? ====================================== Can I suggest we look at auth0 as I know Air Mozilla is going to look at using this one
air.mozilla.org's plan, for reference: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1273027#c5 MDN has thousands of active users, so I suspect it would bump up against the paid tiers at auth0. We also have had spam issues in the past, so "log in with any provider" is not a desired feature for MDN. See bug 1273028 for the discussion and plan for the disabling Persona on MDN. The short version is that MDN will only allow GitHub logins in December 2016. We'll evaluate other options when we have the development resources to implement them.
