- Firefox 50 beta 7
- latest Developer Edition 51.0a2

[Unaffected versions]:
- latest Nightly 52.0a1

[Affected platforms]:
- Ubuntu 16.04 32bit
- Mac OS X 10.11
- Windows 7 64bit

[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Start Firefox
2. Click Pocket icon so pref "extensions.pocket.settings.test.panelSignUp"  appears 
3. Set "extensions.pocket.settings.test.panelSignUp" pref to "v2"
4. Click Pocket icon.

[Expected result]:
- No artifacts are shown

[Actual result]:
- Artifacts of pocket panel are shown when clicking Pocket icon for a few moments.

[Regression range]:
- This is not a regression, it was introduced with bug 1304142

[Additional notes]:
- Attached is a video showing the issue (please open it in another browser if Firefox is unable to play it).

I get an error when trying to view the video that says the file is corrupt.  Can you upload a new video?

Hey Bogdan, I tried opening the video in both Firefox and Chrome and it says there was an error trying to view. Is there another way to try sharing it? Maybe dropbox? Thanks!

Strange.  What the video shows is that clicks on the pocket button multiple times, and each click opens a new tab. Sometimes the panel appears to open then close very quickly (a brief flash).

Hmm, interesting. I converted the video from .mp4 to .ogv and upload it to google drive and dropbox. You should have no issue seeing the video now (I can play it in many browsers).

This bug has been closed due to inactivity and/or the potential for this bug to no longer be an issue with the new Discovery Stream-powered New Tab experience, and improvements to Pocket’s integration with Firefox.

Please help us triage by reopening if this issue still persists and should be addressed.
