Steps to reproduce:

1. Loaded https://twitter.com/
2. Clicked "Login"
3. Clicked in the "Phone, email or username" field.


Actual results:

1. Username selection list appeared some distance away from the input.
2. Mouse movements in the expected location of the list cause the highlight to move, but a mouse click dismisses the list without selecting an option.

Note: This doesn't always happen, but I've seen it randomly in Firefox 49 and 50 betas.


Expected results:

Username selection list should appear attached to the input field.

Hi Peter,

I have tested this issue on Firefox Beta 50( Build ID:20161013141419) and Firefox latest Nightly (Build ID: 20161024030205) and could not reproduce it.

Could you please retest this using new clean Firefox profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager) , maybe even safe mode ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode), to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause.

I've tried to reproduce it in different test profiles with no luck.  Even in my main profile, it's consistent once it happens, but random as to when it will start.
