User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.143 Safari/537.36 OPR/40.0.2308.90 Steps to reproduce: If you open the page on http://www.geenstijl.nl/mt/archieven/2016/10/geweldsmonopolie.html there's an embedded video (https://www.dumpert.nl/embed/6919207/91946477/ ). Actual results: If you click play, it takes over a minute to load until it starts playing. Expected results: Start playing immediately. (works in other browsers)
WFM with FF49 on Win 7, the start of the playback is almost instant.
Component: Untriaged → Audio/Video: Playback
Product: Firefox → Core
Ah, I missed you're using FF51, not 49. Indeed, there is a regression.
Looks like Bug 1311807. Could you test with browser.safebrowsing.blockedURIs.enabled=false? (Note: Do not forget restore the preferences to true after you have tested)

Ever confirmed: true
browser.safebrowsing.blockedURIs.enabled=false makes no difference, still takes over a minute to load.
You should restart browser to make it effective after setting the preferences.
(In reply to Alice0775 White from comment #5) > You should restart browser to make it effective after setting the > preferences. I was not aware of this, but unfortunately it does not make a difference.
