Details

Problem started when I upgraded to 0.9.9 Build 2002031403 under NT4.0 SP6a. Any page with a Java applet brings up a plugin finder window. I attempted reinstalling the JRE plugin but it had no effect. Attempted uninstall reinstalls several times. Tired upgrading to todays flavor of Mozilla 0.9.9 (Build 20020315xx) but the browser was not a working version. But that is another bug.Now previously working versions of Mozilla also don't have JRE available to them BUT netscape 4.7 DOES still use JRE just fine. I have not installed 0.9.9 under Redhat 7.2 yet. I will check the status of that browser when I can reboot.
Reporter: Have you read the Java section in the release notes ? Have you the Java Plugin in your plugin folder (symlinked on linux) ?

Ok, please install JRE in c:\programs\JRE... after that go to this directory and copy the file c:\programs\JRE\bin\npoji600.dll to your plugin folder (npoji610.dll with JRE1.4) copy c:\programs\JRE1.3.0_05\bin\npoji600.dll E:\Mozilla\0.9.9\bin\plugins\ there is a known bug with the JRE installer... all plugins are beginning with NP*.* (NP=Netscape Plugin)
That did it Thank you D
