Text actions (cut / copy / paste / select all) from the menu bar, keyboard shortcuts, and context menu do nothing when inside the viewport.

The "select all" text action actually selects the devices from the "Edit list". Should we file a new bug for this?

I don't think a new bug is needed since the solution here should cover this as well.  Thanks for noting it as a comment though, it's good to keep this in mind!
