User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open any 360 degree video in Facebook. You can search: https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=360%20degree%20video
2. Try to play a video marked with "360" in the middle of it.

Tried to do so on different Mac and Windows systems:
1. On Windows in doesn't work at all (different settings and Windows version, with and without "Hardware H264 Decoding"). For a new profile you need to wait until plugins (h264 decoder, widevinecdm will be downloaded).
2. On Mac it can work or not, unpredictable. Two similar Mac's with similar set of plugins - one can play, another can not.

Actual results:

Video not played, a message show: "360 Videos are not available on this browser."

Expected results:

Video start playing and user can rotate it.

Most likely this is an issue with WebGL on your machine. Can you please provide the graphics section of about:support ?
I am encountering the same issue. 360 Video from facebook will not play in Firefox. Facebook 360 videos will play in other browsers on the same machine. 360 degree videos from other sites (youtube) will play in Firefox on the same machine.

MacOS 10.12.1
iMac (retina 5K 27 inch, late 2015)
Firefox 49.0.2

For me videos doesn't work on two devices with Windows OS: laptop (support1.txt) and desktop (support2.txt). On both devices video works in Chrome browser.

Also got the report from a user. https://www.facebook.com/rotem.rogovsky/videos/g.1446468078916774/10154856010062147/?type=2 has a notice below the video that the browser doesn't support 360° videos anymore (user reported that they still worked around Firefox 48). I also can't play the video, neither in Firefox 48, 49 or 50.

Summary: 360 degree video on Facebook does not played → 360 degree videos on Facebook do not play
I'm not sure if it worked in the past...
360 video on Facebook works for me on my Intel HD Graphics 4600 GPU.

Milan - 360 is more likely WebGL issue than a video issue so do you want to take this?

It would really help to find out if this worked before, or if it works in nightly. Those that can reproduce it (I can't), could you check on the latest nightly, and if it works there, or worked for you before, run mozregression to find out what broke it/fixed it?

This works now with 50.1.0 and on the latest releases of the 49 and 48 branch, everything on Windows 8.1 64 bit (same machine like in comment 5).

Alexander and Alan, can you test if you can play https://www.facebook.com/rotem.rogovsky/videos/g.1446468078916774/10154856010062147/?type=2 now? Thank you.

Confirm, now 360 video start working for me in the same environment, where it doesn't work before. Firefox 50.0.2 (50.1.0 after update work well too)
It looks like more a TE from Facebook than a real bug in Firefox. Can we close this bug report?
Now in Firefox 50.1.0 360 videos from Facebook play just fine.
