From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002031104 I think there should be a mode (as with Eudora) "set messages available offline as I read them". A message read once (or an attachement viewed once) should be able to be viewed offline in that mode. In fact I think that should be the default mode.

Summary: IMAP offline usage not intutitive → IMAP messages should be available offline after reading online
it's more like bug than enhacement it seems to me that currently mozilla download message every time I access it didn't check if it happens on UW-IMAP without SSL btw where submit bug report about plain text INBOX file in ImapMail directory (I use it on Windows, Have Master Password set, and connect to UW server trough SSL)
question: how much is POP code separated from IMAP code?

I would like to change severity to MAJOR because without such feauture Mozilla can't be used on slow network connection (now it downloads message every time i access it) which is not nice network behavior
this exists - bring up folder properties, and check the "select this folder for offline use" in the offline tab. Then, when you read a message, we'll download the contents for offline use.
