This bug was filed from the Socorro interface and is report bp-5f577746-8fd3-4f57-86bf-117422161114. ============================================================= I've been seeing an occasional update problem for quite a while, but it seems to be happening more frequently and this is the first time with a crash (possibly from lack of patience previous times). The symptoms: * Tabs go away from the tab bar (but pinned tabs stay). * The main screen stops updating. Switching to a different workspace and back fixes the main window but not the tabs. * When I try to exit the process hangs around. This time it crashed, but I'm sure I've waited longer before killing it on previous incidents. Running Nightly on Ubuntu. E10s is disabled. I haven't tested with a new profile because the problem has been infrequent and I don't have any specific steps to reproduce.

Starting 2016-10-27 22:49:01 crashes start happening across multiple versions of firefox AND Thunderbird [1].
