This is due to a massive hardware failure that took out more of our elasticsearch farm than our redundancy could account for: bug 1317232. Trees are rebuilding as we speak; add-ons takes about a day and a half and is #21 in the queue. You can follow it at https://jenkins-dxr.mozilla.org/.

Is there a way to bring back the old index? There is an urgent matter of security I need to run queries for. Do you expect the build to run through this time, considering the complexity of bug 1315983?

The old index is, unfortunately, irretrievable; that's the nature of exceeding your planned redundancy. We'll have to wait and see if it completes, but there is reason to be cautiously optimistic, since it will be running on much more modern hardware. I'll see if we can move it up the queue, as it's more important than old comm-central builds, for instance.
