The page, http://www.spectator.co.uk/bookreview.php3?table=old&section=current&issue=2002-03-16&id=880 , never stops downloading, as indicated by the status bar. Tested on Build ID: 2002031803 (0.9.9+), Windows 98.
Page is most likely using document.write

URL has a MySQL error. It looks like the site is screwed up. It might be temporary, though.

A-ha! It now works with HTTP/1.0 and HTTP/1.1 with and without pipelining, 1.1 trunk 2002071914 Windows 98. (BTW, the MySQL error was indeed temporary. The page works just fine now.) Resolving worksforme.
