wonder if rjc might want to look into this. i would take the tack of adding the
items to the xp context menus rather than trying to re-do the current context
menus with mac native ones (too many problems there).

fwiw, context menu *content* will eventually be reorganized --see bug 75338 for
the gritty details, as well as this spec:

http://mozilla.org/projects/ui/communicator/framework/contextmenus/cmrev2.html
Can you say what those would be? We seem to do well enough with the main menubar,
and its not like we have to support skinning of context menus by web page
authors.

Given a choice between usable context menus and the ability to skin them from
XUL, I know what I'd go for. Alternatively we could try to make the XUL ones
usable, but usable according to the conventions of which platform?

I'm just not seeing the advantage of XUL context menus. If you know me, you know
I'm not a XUL basher.... I genuinely don't see it.
arbitrary hierarchical menus, for starters. it's not impossible, but it's a lot
of work.
Does this bug affect OS X? If not, it should be WONTFIX.
Contextual Menu Manager is a classic-only technology.
