In mobile devices, connectivity is usually not stable, and it can change a lot in a short span of time (for instance, walking on the street (3G), entering a building (loss of speed and/or change to 2G), taking the lift (no connectivity), getting out of the lift (getting connection again), etc. When travelling on a vehicle (train, tube), this changes happen even faster.
It would be helpful for developers to have this "real world mode", in which throttling changes, to be able to test websites in the responsive design view.
Interesting idea! Added to our backlog.
