Mozilla 0.9.9 won't run on UFS volume

Quite probably the same bug reported in bug # 86538. If I install Mozilla 0.9.9
on a UFS partition, it doesn't run (crashes at splash screen). If I install it
on an HFS+ volume, it's fine.
I'm running Mac OS 10.1.3 on a PowerBook G3 (FireWire) 400, 320 MB ram.
