User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0
Build ID: 20161130094553

Steps to reproduce:

May be I got FF update long time ago. Turning of IPv6 helped, but I think it is a bug. I almost gave up using FF. And there are other people experiencing this bug - You can check the link to see the prove: http://askubuntu.com/questions/721315/firefox-43-0-4-on-ubuntu-15-10-incredibly-slow-to-load-pages I will copy my answer here too.

Thanks to bmullan. I voted for his answer too(I have not enough points here to be counted though). So I used his link https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WebBrowsingSlowIPv6IPv4

At first I checked IPv6 routes. There were no default route for IPv6 on my computer, then problem must be with Firefox itself. Okey, I tried disabling IPv6 in Firefox using this manual:

**To disable IPv6 in Firefox:**
In the address bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. ...
In the Search field, type network.dns.disableIPv6.
In the list of preferences, double-click network.dns.disableIPv6 to set its value to true.

And it WORKS! My Firefox is alive again after long struggle. And I don't need to use Chromium only, because it worked as fast as a rocket when I had problems with my browser of choice - Firefox. I have been even thinking it's Google fighting with FF.

Actual results:

FF incredibly slow to load any page on Internet.

Expected results:

So FF must work faster with IPv6. I don't have default route for IPv6. I suggest FF to turn off IPv6 if there is no IPv6 routes. May be it can create another bug for ppl experimenting with IPv6 on their localhost with web servers. I don't care they are probably a minority. Let's move this bug out of here!

Could you please provide a log with IPv6 enabled? See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Debugging/HTTP_logging. Try to keep the session as short as possible to have a reasonably small log, thanks.
