tracy, do you see this on the 3-21 mozilla builds as well?
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
posting what we've discover over AIM this doen't happen to mozilla linux build 2002-03-21-06-trunk
Is this linux only?
twalker tells me that he doesn't see it under macos 9 or macos X. windows commercial bits not out yet.
this is linux only. and newly discovered and confirmed...it is classic skin only. Log in works fine from Modern skin Reducing severity to critical and removing smoketest keyword based on workaround
Severity: blocker → critical

Summary: Crash logging into POP mail account → Crash logging into POP mail account - classic theme only
twalker adds that this doesn't happen in yesterday's ns commercial bits (3/20)

Adding topcrash keyword and Trunk [@ _pl_GetEventCount] to summary. This has been a topcrasher on the Trunk since 3/18. There was 1 incident with a 3/18 build and then a couple on 3/20. This might be a problem with permissions to Classic chrome files. See bug 66822 comment #59. It discusses a similar stack trace, and crash was caused by lack of read permissions to a chrome file.
Can someone who can see this see if this is related to bug 66822 and http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111124 which is references in 66822?
Whiteboard: [need info]
Using buildID 2002032608 on RH7.2, I also get this on trying to access an IMAP account using a classic skin, works fine using modern skin.(TB4519320Y, TB4519113X and TB4519072Q). If I run it as root it also crashes (TB4519848Y)
There seems to be a lot of different ways to get this crash (or similar crashes to the one originally reported). I have attached a report with all of the crashes with the _pl_GetEventCount stack signature reported with MozillaTrunk builds in the last 10 days. Someone should take a look through them and see if all of these crashes are related because this is currently the #2 topcrasher on the Trunk.
I'm marking this a DUP of bug 134070, simply for the fact it has the right group of people already assigned to it. (and a patch). Sorry, normally I'd DUP to the earliest instance (in this case, this bug). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 134070 ***
