>>>   My Info:   Win7_64, Nightly 48, 32bit, ID 20160408030212
STR_1:
1. Open new window. Open 3 pinned tabs and many normal tabs to cause overflow in tabs toolbar
2. Press Ctrl+9 to scroll tabs list to the end
3. Middle-click the first pinned tab, then restore it (Ctrl+Shift+T)

AR: The first pinned tab is selected, and tabs list is scrolled to the beginning w/o animation
ER: Either X or Y. X is better
 X) Scroll position in tabs toolbar should be preserved, because there's no reason to scroll
 Y) Scrolling should be performed

This is regression. Firefox 2010-08-21 is unaffected.

I have tested your issue on latest FF release (50.1.0) and latest Nightly build and could not reproduce it. I have executed the provided steps several times but no success.

Cann you please retest this using latest FF release and latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results ? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/PNe90E).

Reproducible. Remove NI request if you don't want to help me figure out
whether there's problem w/ steps or on your side.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20090210

I can see the mentioned behavior on latest FF Release and Nightly versions.
However the same behavior could be observed in the competitor browsers.

The staring date is not correct, the same behavior could be observed in older version as well.
