1328745 - Switching to Windows Basic theme breaks rendering when GPU Process is enabled

I was testing screen sharing with WebEx today and observed that Nightly 53 had immediate and significant page rendering issues as soon as Windows 7 switched to the "Windows Basic" theme, disabling things like Aero transparency and text anti-aliasing.

Upon ending screen sharing, Windows 7 immediately switched back to the normal Aero theme and the page immediately rendered correctly. There was no need to refresh the page.

I haven't had time to troubleshoot much further, but I'll attach a sample of the Bugzilla login page that shows some of the issues. More complex pages like Gmail or Salesforce exhibit elements flickering and disappearing or reappearing as I moved the mouse.

From your screenshots it looks like ClearType font smoothing got disabled when you switched to Windows Basic theme, which could mean that this is a duplicate of bug 1325743.

I just tested disabling only ClearType and the behavior was indeed identical to what I saw yesterday.
