Search engine results pages can't find a good description for the content on the releases page[1]. Under the result, they display the first paragraph tag, which says, "If you haven't previously confirmed a subscription to a Mozilla-related newsletter you may have to do so.".
We should add a meta description more like this:
"Release notes and change logs for every version of Firefox"

Yeah, I sure. I would love to.
I checked source of the release page in browser & there is a meta description present which says "Release notes for each version of Firefox." I'm not entirely sure what is happening wrong.

As Mainak points out, the page does already have a meta description and title fitting the purpose of the page. What's more i can't seem to reproduce the bug in any search engine (including DDG as in the original screenshot). The only exception was Yahoo! Search, but I'd say this is arguably an issue with their Search, as opposed to something missing on the page itself.
Justin, if you're still seeing the same issue in other search engines or have some more solid STR, please feel free to re-open.

This could be an artifact of having very little text on the page itself. One possible solution might be to add some more body copy, or increase the word count in the description. But I'd say unless it's a real issue in lots of results appearing, adding more copy purely for SEO might not be worth it for this particular page.

Yes, I agree. The only way to trigger this issue is by searching for the exact string in DDG. We could improve the page as comment 4 points out, but this specific bug isn't ours. Thanks!
