:bsmedberg, bug 1253154 is marked as a duplicate of bug 1237853, yet this still exists as one of our top intermittent failures. I don't see any real action in bug 1237853 in the last 10 months, would it be possible to find someone to own fixing this?

:bsmedberg, pinging as this has been a frequent intermittent still for the last week.

Skip test_fullscreen-api.html on linux-e10s for frequent timeouts; r=me,a=test-only
Keywords: leave-open
Whiteboard: [test disabled]
Hey, don't disable the whole test. It is a set of several subtest, and only one subtest is known to be bad here. We can disable only that one and keep others run.
The manifest annotation is only for (linux and e10s). Is there an easy way to do that for the subtest?

(I don't mind disabling the subtest instead if that's preferred.)
ni? myself for comment 11 and comment 12.

Basically I think we need to add a blacklist mechanism to test_fullscreen-api.html... which is more complicated. But since fullscreen test on Linux is especially fragile, I'd rather not disable it as a whole if possible, otherwise we may fail to catch regression there and fix in time.

Absent somebody actually fixing the e10s problem, which seems highly unlikely, the only way to fix this is force Flash (all plugins) to windowless mode on Linux. Which I've proposed to Adobe but we haven't made a final decision yet.

Disable fullscreen-plugins subtest for e10s Linux.
Pushed a change to disable only the specific subtest on e10s Linux.

Sometimes you just can't win no matter what. Backed out in https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/rev/02ad60b900f2 for making it time out 100% on e10s Linux, e.g. https://treeherder.mozilla.org/logviewer.html#?job_id=75348643&repo=mozilla-inbound
