Details

The reason we request this feature is Hasal framework will need to provide the geckoprofiler data for engineer debugging and extract data from gecko profiler. Based on current design of Gecko profiler, we need to use gui automation to operate the button and save it to local. That will raise some intermittent failure due to the screen lag or something. So if Gecko profiler could support CLI or one key control that would help us a lot on saving this kind of data.

Had communication with Kanru and Cervantes, we could do quick modification in GeckoProfiler addon to make Hasal flow work in short-term.

I suspect Hasal is not being worked on anymore.

The profiler can be controlled through the toolbar button and some keyboard shortcuts, env-vars when launching Firefox, or internal APIs.
If there is still a need for another way, please reopen or file a new bug, or ping me.
