In bug 133367, Colin pointed out that the Calendar only currently supports the
Modern skin, which I'd failed to realize.
I try to use whichever skin seems less buggy, and switch when there is a big
issue, otherwise, I just forget about the skins entirely. The issues in that
bug are not enough to make me want to switch, but I'd still like to see them
fixed. Since that won't happen until the Calendar gets a classic skin, I might
as well go ahead and request it.
The implementation is probably pointless to do until the other skin is
moderately stable or until the Calendar is getting close to landing on the
trunk, as keeping the two skins in sync is likely to be a continual project. If
there is someone that wants to take this on, though, please do.

The classic skin is now in CVS & working.
To use the new classic skin, you may first need to switch to modern, and then
back to classic.

The Classic skin does not work for me. Buttons from 'Choose Date' to 'Month'
only contain the text. However, while clicking on the 'Day' button, the picture
is shown (day_hover.gif). (W2K, 0.9.9)

Also, the pictures disappear instead of the hover versions in New Event and Edit
Event.

png & gif files are binary and should be added to cvs as binary files ( using
the -kb ) option.
Please remeber to use -kb next time an image is added to CVS.
I will fix this for now with cvs admin -kb
