Get dlg about subscribing to shared folder when it's a folder I've created
Build 2002-03-26-10-trunk, Win2K
IMAP.
1. I have a message in a folder:
Current
! copies of email for status
2. When I select this message and choose to forward (inline), I get a dialog:
"Would you like to subscribe to Shared Folders/User/lchiang/! Current^! copies
of email for status?"
3. This folder has been around for a long time and I've forwarded mail from
here before. I should not get prompted to subscribe to this folder. Also, I've
never designated this folder for sharing.

it doesn't have to do with folder sharing - it has to do with somehow your
hierarchy delimiter for the folder has been horked (that's why it has a '^' in
it) What's the real name of your folder?
My folder is called ! Current. This is at the same level as my Inbox.
I have a subfolder called ! copies of email for status
I use the exclamation points to make the folders appear at the top of my folder
hierarchy.
I wonder how it got corrupted.

well, the "unknown" separator can get set in folders if, for example, your
panacea.dat gets corrupted, or you start up when the imap server is down, or
you're offline. I probably just need to somehow handle this happening in this
situation.
Ok. How do I workaround/fix this corruption now? Delete panacea.dat? Would all
my folders have to be read in again to get an accurate unread count if I do this?

you could try deleting the .msf file for the folder first. I'd like to know if
that fixes it, before you try deleting your panacea.dat - No, your unread counts
should be OK, even if you delete your panacea.dat

Lisa, did any of that work? Do you know how to recreate this bug?
