Details
I right-click on a link, choose "Open in a New Tab".
If I then switch on this tab and close it before the download completes
(perhaps only before the response is received), the link becomes dumb --
any subsequent clicks or menu actions make no effect.

doesn't look quite the same as bug 102924, but could be related. i can't
reproduce the problem described - after i close the tab, the original link still
works fine.
reporter (Mikhail): can you reproduce this problem with a recent build of
mozilla (for example, 1.0 or 1.1alpha)? if so, please comment again and include
the build ID. if not, please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME. thank you.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Right-click on a hyperlink, choose "Open Link In New Tab"
2. Have the download cancelled in some way: by a network timeout, or, if it's a
file download, cancel it explicitly (granted, it's kind of bogus to open new
tabs for file downloads, but it happens inadvertently pretty often with me).
3. The hyperlink used for opening is now stuck dumb: it doesn't react on mouse
clicks at all. Doing something with other hyperlinks seems to reset the link to
the normal state.

Summary: Closing a new-tab page before it's loaded breaks the link that's been used → Cancelled page opening in a new tab "disables" the hyperlink used for this

WFM Win2K 20021108.
This bug should probably be resolved WFM once more.
Reporter: What bulid did you try this on? Did it happen on a recent build?
Please only re-open this bug if you can duplicate it in a nightly bulid, which
you can download from www.mozillazine.com .
