From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020313 BuildID: 2002031312 favicon.ico *should*, at least according to IE 5 behavior, load from a web page regardless of whether it's <LINK>'d into the HTML header. Previous versions of Mozilla, I believe, worked this way; I only just now noticed that it wasn't working. Mozilla.org, for example, only loads the icon on the home page; the page I'm typing in now doesn't have it. Freshmeat.net and sf.net, though, do load. I have "Show Web Site Icons" checked under appearance in pref's, as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load the page 2. Look in address bar 3. Actual Results: No icon. Expected Results: instead of default symbol in the address bar, http://www.uiuc.edu/favicon.ico should show on any page on the www.uiuc.edu server. Also, http://ninechoir.com's icon, ninechoir.com/favicon.ico, should display likewise on the ninechoir.com site.
