Details

(Whiteboard: [necko-backlog])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20161213204132 Steps to reproduce: I use cisco VPN to to connect to my employer's network. I have Firefox's network set to proxy auto detection. When I connect to VPN, everything works. But when I disconnect from the VPN while Firefox is still open and reconnect to the VPN, Firefox is no longer able to access external sites. To fix that I have to either change proxy settings to manual proxy config, or kill all Firefox windows and start it again. This is not new, I'm observing it for a couple of years already, but I hoped it would be fixed with bug 939318. Actual results: Unable to access. Expected results: Able to access.
I forgot to mention, I'm on Debian Jessie, 64bit

Daniel, seems like fodder for future network change work?

This is most likely a dupe of this (annoyingly slippery) bug Gary is working on.
